After Office Fun

After Office is another BYOB by Knight Rider Junction and even though it isn’t as grand as the first one, this one is on the same lines. Located next to Bristol Hotel, the place offers a variety of seating options with private booths and a huge terrace and courtyard area. The menu comprises of the regular classics with quirky names. The bar next door stocks BIRA, so yayy and have a lot of cool deals on packs.

Bira Lite + Any night = Love ❤

We started with a soya chaap tikka and dahi ke kebab – the soya chaap is nicely done, well marinated, rather soft and packing a punch of flavours. The dahi ki kebab, equally well done, topped with chaat masala – lightly toasted with a crunchy outside and a smooth, slightly sweet stuffed with yogurt.

They also house fusions – Jhumo Nacho grilled chicken sausages – served with mint chutney, cut up chicken sausages, tossed with oregano, chilly flakes and and lightly grilled and tossed. Fire Brigade chilly chicken – the fiery chilly chicken is tossed with bell pepper and spring onion before going through the grill of chilly sauce. The chicken was a little over done and had lost its juiciness, when pointed out, the dish was replaced. The result was a succulent and toothsome whip.

Lemon butter fish with mashed potatoes and tossed veggies – Both Knight rider junction and After Office boast of the excellent fish preparations and rightly so. This lemon butter grilled fish is cooked to perfection topped with butter sauce and served with steamed and seasoned vegetables. The mashed potatoes need a little more work – a couple of more whips with butter.

Knight Rider Junction

Pretty much in the middle of nowhere, we were left exhasperated with the vastness of the Knight Rider Junction. The place is huge and offers all kinds of dining options – private rooms, gardens, open terrace and lounges. Primarily operating as a BYOB – they also house some pretty mean mocktails and one can only imagine the magic with a little downpour of booze in each. Their menu is still expanding into continental but their Desi grub is the one you can’t miss.

We started with their Dahi ke sholey, pan seared fish and grilled chicken. The Dahi ke sholey, a dish novel to each restaurant. They serve it fried with slightly sweet and very flavoursome dahi stuffing, deep fried and served with mint chutney.

Mexican grilled chicken – succulent chicken bits, well marinated and grilled to a crisp tenderness. Served with mustard sauce, the chicken is a very toothsome prep.

Knight Rider Junction (16)

Pan seared fish – super fresh fish, well marinated and seared to perfection served with fresh mint and mayo. The fish was uber fresh and was paired with just the right spices to make it tantalizing to the core.

Knight Rider Junction (17)

Tandoori chicken tikka – they swear by their desi chow and damn they are right. The chicken tikka is grilled to perfection and is lip smacking to say the least.

Knight Rider Junction (18)

Lahori murgh masala with laccha parantha –  the creamy buttery gravy was magnificent and the soft chicken tikka pieces blended with the curry superbly well.
